It’s Simply Melanie Jane’s 5 year Blogiversary! Five years ago, I hit “publish” on my very first crochet pattern blog post. I had no idea then just how much this journey would shape my life, or how many of you would become a part of it. Today, I’m celebrating five amazing years of crochet pattern designing, blogging, and connecting with this vibrant maker community!
Have you been here since the beginning or just found me through a recent pattern. Either way, I want to say a heartfelt thank you. Your kind words, project shares, support, and yarn love have meant the world to me.
How I Began my Journey to a 5 Year Blogiversary
Back on July 11, 2020, I started this blog as a way to share my passion for crochet. My first patterns were simple and sweet—do you remember the Waterlily Face Scrubbies or Bobbily Boo Basket patterns? From there, I slowly found my style: texture-rich stitches, playful details, and designs that are made to be gifted, loved, and used.
What began as a creative outlet has grown into something much bigger: a business, a community, and a place where I get to cheer you on in your own crochet adventures.
My very first post was aimed at showing what I planned to focus on in my crochet designer journey. Home decor patterns are my top most favorite designs to make, followed by crochet accessories. Check out my first post below.
