This cute Christmas Tree Applique is perfect to whip up to add to your seasonal home décor. Add to a pillow or blanket. Make a festive table runner with trees on both ends. #4 Cotton Lion Brand 24/7 Small amounts for the applique {Use up your scraps}
US G (4mm) Furls hook, or size needed to obtain tree measurements
Tapestry needle

Special Stitches
HBhdc: yo, insert hook in st, yo, pull through st and first loop on hook, yo, pull through remaining 2 loops.
Ps{Pineapple cluster st}: *yo, insert hook in st, yo, pull through* Rep between * 3 times, yo, pull through the first 8 loops on your hook, yo, pull through the 2 remaining loops on hook. Make sure you keep loops loose so you can pull through 8 easily.
Picot: ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook
Notes
ch 3 on Ps rows counts as a stitch.

Star:
Rnd 1: With yellow using MR, 5 sc in ring, pull to close, sl st in first st [5]
Rnd 2: *ch 3 Picot, sl st next st; rep from * 4 more times, sl st first st [5 Picots] Fasten off. Leave tail for sewing. Sew star to top of tree.
Optional: Steam block the applique
The following instructions are for using this applique with the Every Day Wall Hanging.
Using the tree as a template, cut the plastic canvas slightly smaller than the shape. Sew section of metal snap with the nub facing up to the middle of the plastic canvas tree shape. Sew plastic canvas to back of tree with snap facing out.
