Cotton Crochet Cozies To Be Featured in Yarnsgiving

This free crochet pattern set was made especially for Yarnsgiving, a project by the Craft Yarn Council and Warm Up America. The event runs from October 11, 2025(I love yarn day) through December 2, 2025(giving Tuesday). The goal is to promote “making with yarn and giving to others” for the holiday seasons. Mug Cozy:

Row 1: Fhdc 40 or ch 41, hdc in 2^nd ch from hook and each ch across, turn [40]

Row 2: ch 1, hdc in 3^rd lp in each st across, turn

Row 3: (ch 1, hdc, dc) in 1^st st, *sk 2 sts, (sc, hdc, dc) in next st; rep from * until 3 sts remain, sk 2 sts, sc in last st, turn [13 Sedge st, 1 sc]

Row 4: (ch 1, hdc, dc) in 1^st st, *sk 2 sts, (sc, hdc, dc) in next sc; rep from * until 3 sts remain, sk 2 sts, sc in last st, turn [13 Sedge st, 1 sc]

Rows 5-8: Rep Row 4

Row 9: ch 1, hdc in each st across, turn [40]

Row 10: ch 1, hdc in 3^rd lp in each st across, do not turn

Now working the loops that will slide over the mug handle.

• Hdc in ends of the rows across the short end, turn [10]
• Ch 20, sl st to the last st on other end of short side, fasten off.
• Rejoin yarn to the other short end and repeat, fasten off. Weave in the ends.

At the end of Rnd 19, fasten off. Skip 25 sts on Rnd 15 and rejoin the yarn.
