Yarn Used For These Crochet Flower Vases

Anyone who knows anything about me and crochet, knows I love to use cotton yarn in many of my home decor projects. Cotton yarn is strong and durable, holding up well after repeated use and washing. This makes it great for projects that need to withstand wear and tear, like these crochet vases. It is also biodegradable and a renewable resource, so using cotton yarn can be a more eco-friendly option compared to synthetic fibers. And can we talk about the variety of colors!!!!

Special Stitches Used in these Crochet Flower Vases

HBhdc {herringbone hdc}= yo, insert hook in st, yo, pull through st and first loop on hook, yo, pull through remaining 2 loops.

hdc in 3rd lp: place a hdc in 3rd loop of the hdc on the inside of the rnd.

Helpful Hints:

  1. You will join with a slip stitch at the end of each round. Use an invisible join to make it less noticeable.
  • To make the vases sturdier, use starch to stiffen. Or cut an empty paper towel roll in half and slide into each vase.
  • These vases are for artificial flowers or grasses only.
