It wouldn’t be autumn to a crocheter without a crochet leaf. This simple square uses half double crochet and front post stitches to give a raised texture to the design. It’s fun and quick to make, and can be used for several items. Make a blanket, a table runner, or a simple tabletop decoration.
This square was specially made for the Charity Cozy Fall MAL. With money raised going to the non-profit Cure Childhood Cancer.

Border
Be sure you have turned your work at the end of row 26, and you are working on the right side of square. {The side with the design} When crocheting down the ends of the rows, don’t crochet too tightly as this can make the square bunch up.
Ch 1, 3 sc in first st, sc across to next corner, 3 sc in top of ch 2, sc loosely in end of each row, 3 sc in first st of row 1, sc across to next corner{last st of row 1}, sc loosely in end of each row, sl st in first st to join.
Block square if you wish.
