Supplies Needed
Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton in “Ecru”{100 yds} and “Goldenrod”{30 yds} Or your favorite #4 cotton.
US G (4mm) hook {I love Furls}
Yarn needle for weaving ends
5” diameter by 5” high planter
Abbreviation Used: {US Terms}
Rnd=round
MC=main color
MR=magic ring
Inc=increase
CC=contrasting color
ch=chain
dc=double crochet
BL=back loops
sk=skip
ch 1-sp=chain 1 space
yo=yarn over
st=stitch
sl st=slip stitch
rep=repeat
Ps=pineapple cluster stitch
HBhdc=herringbone half double crochet

Special Stitches for Crochet Plant Cozy:
Ps{pineapple cluster stitch}= *yo, insert hook in st, yo, pull through* Rep between * 3 times, yo, pull through the first 8 loops on your hook, yo, pull through the 2 remaining loops on hook. Make sure you keep loops loose so you can pull through 8 easily. {See photo tutorial page 3}
HBhdc {herringbone hdc}= yo, insert hook in st, yo, pull through st and first loop on hook, yo, pull through remaining 2 loops.
Notes:
ch 2 and ch 3 do not count as stitches.

Rnd 1: With MC, using MR, 12 dc in ring, join with sl st in first st using invisible join [12 dc]
Rnd 2: ch 3, Inc each st around, join [24 dc]
Rnd 3: ch 3, *dc next st, Inc next st; rep from * around, join [36 dc]
Rnd 4: ch 3, *dc next 2 sts, Inc next st; rep from * around, join [48 dc]
Rnd 5: ch 3, *dc next 3 sts, Inc next st; rep from * around, join [60 dc]
Rnd 6: Work BL for this rnd only, ch 2, HBhdc each st around, join [60 HBhdc]
Rnds 7-9: ch 2, HBhdc each st around, join, change to CC at end of rnd 9 [60 HBhdc]
Rnd 10: ch 3, Ps in same st, ch 1, sk next st, *(Ps, ch 1) next st, sk next st; rep from * around, join in 1st st [30 Ps, 30 ch 1-sp]
Rnd 11: ch 3, (Ps, ch 1) in each ch 1-sp around, join, changing to MC. [30 Ps, 30 ch 1-sp]
Rnd 12: ch 2, HBhdc in each Ps and ch 1-sp around, join [60 HBhdc]
Rnds 13-15: ch 2, HBhdc each st around, join, changing to CC at end of row 15. [60 HBhdc]
Rnd 16: ch 3, Ps in same st, ch 1, sk next st, *(Ps, ch 1) next st, sk next st; rep from * around, join in 1st st [30 Ps, 30 ch 1-sp]
Rnd 17: ch 3, (Ps, ch 1) in each ch 1-sp around, join, changing to MC. [30 Ps, 30 ch 1-sp]
Rnd 18: ch 2, HBhdc each Ps and ch 1-sp around, join [60 HBhdc]
Rnd 19-20: ch 2, HBhdc each st around, join [60 HBhdc]
Rnd 21: ch 1, sl st each st around, join. Fasten off. Weave in ends.
Insert pot inside cozy and fill with your favorite plant. Enjoy!
