Once in place, you simply button them closed around the bottom of your legs, which keeps them secure and comfy. No complicated fitting—just slip them on, button, and enjoy warm, happy feet!
Suggested Yarns
When I originally had the idea for these, I found Big Twist Posh from Joann’s, which is a #5 Bulky Plush Yarn. Little did I know, the craft store would close in middle of designing these.
Here are some substitutes according to YarnSub and my testers:
- Michael’s is carrying Posh Purl, with limited colors (which is supposed to be Joann’s Big Twist Posh)
- King Cole Yummy
- Michael’s Charisma
- Premier Basix Chunky (which isn’t a plush but still warm and soft)
- Swish Bulky
- Premier Parfait Chunky (a plush, but a #6-you may have to use a smaller hook size)
- Paintbox Chenille
Just make sure you do a gauge swatch first, to be sure your warmer will not turn out too big.
