Diamond Fun Crochet Bookmark and Glasses Case utilizes small, cute granny squares. This is a quick project and the perfect scrap busting pattern. I received a bag of cute mini skeins of yarn as a gift, and as I was playing around making granny squares, this idea was triggered. You’ll want to make them in all your favorite colors. Make a bunch and have them on hand for gift-giving or craft fairs.

Granny Squares Glasses Case

Follow same instructions listed above to make the squares. You will make 12 squares for this. Sew squares together in same fashion above. Make two rows of 3 squares, then sew the two rows together to make one rectangle. Then repeat for second rectangle. Next, place the 2 rectangles wrong sides together.
Starting at the top of long side of rectangle, join CC, sc evenly through both thicknesses in ends of rows down 1st long side, around short side, back up other long side. Stop at top of 2nd long side, leaving other short side open. Now, working through one thickness, sc around entire opening, sl st in beginning st of opening.

Thank you Lynny! I hope you enjoy it!
Hello, I just stumbled across this pattern. What beautiful creations! And a good way to use up those leftover bits of yarn we all have in that tote(s)
Thank you for sharing. This bookmark is going on my to-do list as next project. It’s almost summer so small projects are fun to do in the sun. And…gifting season is not far away. 🙂
