What is the Morning Glow Crochet Wrap CAL

This CAL is a collaboration between myself and Joanna from High Desert Yarn. We worked together to create a hand dyed yarn colorway that would be perfect for my crochet rectangle wrap design. As coral is one of my favorite colors and also one of my brand colors, I knew the yarn had to have an element of that. Tending to lean more toward pale, neutral colors in my designs, I described to Joanna what I was looking for.

The yarns from High Desert Yarn are inspired by nature. Knowing she could achieve the soft, gentle summery feel I imagined, I jumped at the chance to work with her. She sent me inspiration boards, and I chose what I liked best. Joanna went to work doing what she does best and created beautiful yarn. Fashioned from the softest, hand-dyed yarn in hues of apricot/coral and pale yellow, this wrap creates a harmonious blend of warmth and light.

But what is a CAL?

A crochet community based event, a CAL (or crochet along) is where makers comes together to create the same crochet pattern. Members share photos of their wips (work in progress), their finished item, and makers cheer each other on. It’s a fun way to share our love of crochet. I hope you can join us! This free CAL will be held in my Simply Melanie Jane Crochet Community Facebook Group. Make sure you join so you can crochet along too.

Be sure to sign up for the SMJ newsletter to get all the information about the CAL, including when each sections releases.
