I used Caron One Pound for the entire blanket. Soft Sage and White are the two colors in this strip.
This crochet blanket strip features in Homeward Bound Mosaic Blanket CAL

This blanket strip is the first section in the Homeward Bound Mosaic Blanket CAL. Running from January 27-March 3, this free CAL features overlay mosaic sections and textured stitches sections. Each Monday a new section is released with the final envelope border being released on the final week. Read all about the CAL below.
Homeward Bound Mosaic Blanket Free CAL

Gauge for the mosaic strip:
Mosaic Section: 16 sts X 12 rows = 4”
Size:
Strip is 10″ wide x 48″ long
Notes:
The mosaic house and tree section is a 48 stitch repeat. The complete blanket is 4 repeats of 48 + 3 for 195 stitches. If you want a smaller blanket, use 3 repeats of 48 + 3 for 147 stitches.
The free version of this mosaic strip will have a chart only. The premium pattern bundle listed above has written instructions.
Color A is White. Color B is Soft Sage.
Pattern instructions for this mosaic crochet blanket strip
Row 1: With Color B, Fhdc 195, or ch 196, hdc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across, turn [195]
Row 2: ch 1, hdc in each st across, turn
Rows 3-4: Rep Row 2, Fasten off Color B
You will now be working on the 1st mosaic section. You will be fastening off and joining yarn one color per row.
Be sure you are joining yarn on the right side of the blanket for the mosaic section. Join the corresponding color yarn and fasten off after each row during this section.
You will repeat the chart 4 times between the red lines and crochet the stitch after the red line on the left one time after the last repeat.
The Beginning Border Stitch and Ending Border Stitch are worked through both loops.
Plain boxes, you will be working single crochet in the back loops. Boxes with X’s, you will be working a double crochet in the front loop two rows below.
1-23 of the chart will be Rows 5-27 of the blanket.
Mosaic House Chart

Once you join Color B for Row 28, you will now be turning rows until the next mosaic section.
Row 28: With Color B, ch 1, hdc in each st across, turn [195]
Rows 29-31: Rep Row 28, Do not fasten off. At the end of Row 31, change to Color C
