This overlay mosaic strip is the 5th and final strip of the Homeward Bound Mosaic Blanket CAL. This event runs from January 27th and runs until March 3rd. It’s a combination of overlay mosaic with textured stitches to create the essence of a long journey home. Each section releases on Mondays. Check out all the info about the CAL below.

Abbreviations Used US Terms:
ch = chain
BLOsc = back loop only single crochet
FLOdc = front loop only double crochet
hdc = half double crochet
st = stitch
Notes:
Color A is White. Color E is Soft Gray.
Section 5’s first row will continue from the last row of Section 4.
The free version of this mosaic blanket strip includes chart only. The premium pattern bundle listed above also has written instructions for the mosaic sections.
If you want to use this blanket strip in another blanket, the mosaic sky section is a 48 stitch repeat. The entire blanket is 4 repeats of 48 + 3 for 195 stitches. If you want a smaller blanket, use 3 repeats of 48 + 3 for 147 stitches.
Pattern Instructions for Overlay Mosaic Sky Blanket Strip-Section 5 of Blanket
Row 110: With Color E, ch 1, hdc in each st across, turn
Rows 111-113: Rep Row 110, At end of Row 113, fasten off
You will now be working on the mosaic section. You will be fastening off and joining yarn one color per row.
Be sure you are joining yarn on the right side of the blanket for the mosaic section. Join the corresponding color yarn and fasten off after each row during this section.
Repeat the chart 4 times between the red lines and crochet the stitch after the red line on the left one time after the last repeat.
The Beginning Border Stitch and Ending Border Stitch are worked through both loops.
Plain boxes, you will be working single crochet in the back loops. Boxes with X’s, you will be working a double crochet in the front loop two rows below.
1-23 of the chart will be Rows 114-140 of the blanket.
