#6 Bulky- 10-15 yds of red, white, and blue
I used Premier Anti-Pilling Everyday Bulky {87 yds/80 m/3.5 oz/100 g}
US K Hook (6.5 mm)
Tapestry needle for weaving ends

- Ch 1 does not count as a stitch.
- I used 1” plastic stars and glued them around the outside of the coaster. You can also sew on star buttons or embroider stars on instead.
Pattern Instructions-Patriotic Crochet Coaster
Rnd 1: With Red, using MR (or your favorite circle method), 12 hdc in ring, pull to close, sl st in beg st [12]
Rnd 2: ch 1, (2 hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc) in 1st st, hdc in next 2 sts, *(2 hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc) in next st, hdc in next 2 sts; rep from * 2x, sl st in beg st, changing to White [24]
Rnd 3: ch 1, hdc in next 2 sts, *(2 hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc) in ch-1 sp, hdc in next 5 sts; rep from * 2x, (2 hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc) in next ch-1 sp, hdc in last 3 sts, sl st in beg st, changing to Blue [36]
Rnd 4: ch 1, hdc in next 4 sts, *(2 hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc) in ch 1-sp, hdc in next 8 sts; rep from * 2x, (2 hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc) in next ch-1 sp, hdc in last 4 sts, sl st in beg st [48]
Rnd 5: ch 1, hdc in 1st st, *sk next st, hdc in next st, hdc in sk st; rep between * 1x, hdc in next st, (2 hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc) in ch-1 sp, hdc in next st, **sk st, hdc in next st, hdc in sk st; rep between * 4x, hdc in next st, (2 hdc, ch 1, 2 hdc) in next ch-1 sp, hdc in next st; rep from ** 2x, rep between * 2x, hdc in last st, sl in beg st [64] Fasten off. Weave in the ends.
Glue or sew on stars on the blue section in your desired spots.
