Textured Crochet Wall Hanging Free Pattern

Do you love texture in your crochet projects? This textured crochet wall hanging has plenty. Wander Home Wall Hanging has a lot of charm with raised designs of a sun, tree, and home. You know that feeling when you’ve been away and can’t wait to get home. That was in my mind as I designed this pattern. The things you may see that bring you comfort as you make(wander) your way home. The sun’s position in the sky which tells you that you’re almost home. The familiar tree which signifies it’s just a little farther. Finally, the sight of your beautiful house offers you a sigh of relief that you made home.

Blocking wall hanging is recommended to help it lay flat.

Insert a dowel through the front post stitches on each end of wall hanging. Turning dowel as you are inserting will make it easier to get it all the way through.

Showing the placemat of the dowel in a crochet wall hanging.

For hanging,  I cut a strand of yarn from each color and tied them together to the dowel.

How I make tassels: Make 3 {You may use your favorite method}

For one tassel, cut 30 9” strands {10 of each color}. Lay them side by side. Cut a length of yarn from the color you did your final border round in. Slide it underneath the strands in the middle. Tie tightly. Fold the strands in half. Cut another length of yarn. Place it around strands about 1 ½” down from the top tie. Again, tie it tightly. Trim bottom of tassels evenly.

Tie tassels to bottom row of hanging.

3 crochet squares with designs of a hexagon, tree, and house lay on a white background. Three skeins of yarn, unicorn scissors, and crochet hook lay nearby.
